Football performance analysis or match tagging, is now considered as a “very important procedure” when it comes to improving match results and player performances.

On this course you will learn how to tag and code players with live in game analysis.

Coding a game, or tagging a match, involves the process of building a timeline of events that happen within the match. The events recorded are usually determined by the analyst or coach, based on what information they want to focus on from analyzing the opposition or used for training sessions within the football club. On this course you will be shown the skills of how to do this.

This is a very in-depth course and we will teach you that matches can be tagged during the game using apps for smart phones and tablets, and can be tagged post game using many different software.

The match tagging is to create a timeline of all the events you deem relevant or important in a match, and to present this data in reports which help to determine areas of development, areas of strength, home and away team strategies and much more which will be shown on the course.

Apart from learning to use the tagging and coding equipment.

The Level 2 Performance Analysis Course,  is a more detailed and interactive course than the Level 1 as you now start to use the tools to make a difference to enhance the team or to help team selection and eventually how to win the game. 

Stelios Vradelis again is our main presenter: Stelios is a SPECIALIST and a performance analysis tutor, teaching UEFA B, A, Pro & Elite coaches around the world. Stelios is a director of Institute of Sports Analysis in Athens and leads the program. You will be taught by one of the best in the business, a super experienced analyst who has worked at the Greek FA for several years and at InStat. His global knowledge having worked around the world is invaluable, not only how analysts work at the highest level and go about their job, but also how it differs around the world in different leagues.

As the professional game continues to evolve, so too does the role of the analysts, scouts, managers. sports directors and agents, showing their increasing importance to a team’s backroom staff or contact base. 

On this course, you’ll learn how to approach performance analysis at the elite level of the game, with a specific focus on Teams and Players from the statistical side of the game.

The tutor will go through many procedures that you must adhere to when looking to make it in performance analysis. The team and player’s most important stats will be shown through various software like Hudl, Wyscout or InStat talking about the many other different tools that are available. You will be shown how to use these tools behind the scenes in the day to day workflow as an high level performance analyst at a professional football club. You will be shown standards that need to be followed and the specialist approach to learning the skills that makes a difference.

As you network and share your knowledge and experiences with other students you also get to see how world-leading football clubs operate when working within the first team environment.
