WHAT’S THE TID Grassroots to pro-academy 6's to 23's course about?
The course is a look into young football players in their development from the ages of 6 at grassroots level to pro-academies all the way up to under 23 football. It is developed by Premier League Scouts and Heads of Recruitment touching on all aspects when looking at young players in a more accurate and detailed calculation of the player.
The course will delve into key areas vitally important to football scouting at youth level. It explores sophisticated scouting strategies and procedures that will improve any coach, scout or analyst after the evaluation of the young player. From a coaches point of view they will gain clearer observation skills to help their players and their own progress in their development. It shows you how to make justified, evidence based decisions when improving or recruiting players to your club. It will also show the most effective ways to manage any young player’s development.
This course helps students especially coaches improve their analysis of young players with a more accurate outlook, therefore affecting their own coaching procedures when coaching any young players. By assessing quicker, it improves the player quicker meeting the player’s individual needs with a more professional result. This also helps parents or agents understand the player’s needs when assessing their young player with the attention to detail process that is needed. The programme will allow you to share knowledge and experiences with other scouts and explore how world-leading clubs and academies operate.
HOW'S IT STRUCTURED?
When participating ONLINE: The course is made up of three-days Friday (night 18-00 pm to 22-00 pm), Saturday morning (09-00 am to 13-00 pm) & Sunday (09-00 am to 16-30 pm) other dates can be provided, please check each course individually. You will be shown new techniques and procedures throughout the course, you will also take part in tasks and assessments assisted by industry experts (Scouts) from the premier league and international football.
Over the three-days you will explore the role of an academy scout using age specific scouting tools and procedures, reflecting on your current working practices in terms of scouting young players from grassroots under 6’s to under 23 football and you will be fully supported in your continuous improvement by the IPSO tutor. There is a small exam within the course.
The course is endorsed and approved worldwide by the YMCA awards. The India FA (AIFF,) Estonia FA and Romania Football Association along with many football clubs across Europe including Malmo FF, Slavia Praha, Legia Warsaw and Ludogorets who all regularly appear in the Champions League, all endorse this course.
The UCFB University based at the Etihad & Wembley Stadiums also endorse all our products.
The course has been developed in line with the EPPP.
There are no prerequisites for this course.
When participating on the CLASSROOM Courses: They are based on 2 days Saturday & Sunday (other days can be arranged) from 09-00 am to 16-30 pm on both days. It's the exact same course on both ONLINE & CLASSROOM the only difference is when on the classroom course we take in a live game when possible as part of the proceedings.
The classroom courses will be advertised in the scouting area and are differently priced to the ONLINE courses please note this.

When on the ONLINE COURSE (Important): You may be required to receive video links for the course on occasions were you look at the clip through a separate window with other students in tasks then jump back to the course under instructions from the tutor. The course is interactive and participants can ask questions at any time when participating. Your video is required to be turned on throughout the course to create the classroom effect.

Materials: Books will be provided and sent by email in PDF format, on the live courses they will be handed out.
Presenters: This will vary. But all presenters are very experienced scouts working at the highest level for over 15 years.
Presenter: Colin Chambers is an example of one of our lecturers. He is the Education Director at IPSO. Colin has wealth of experience with over 20 years in scouting & analysis in the Premier League and at international football. Colin has travelled the world delivering seminars and courses to a worldwide audience including Football Associations and high level professional football clubs such as Malmo FF & Slavia Prague.
