The IPSO Level 1 in Scouting & Analysis Course is the most detailed and interactive course in scouting and player analysis. It’s designed to develop highly-skilled scouts and analysts, to devise detailed accurate reports for a football clubs database, intended targets or upcoming opponents.
As the professional game continues to evolve, so too does the role of the scouts and analysts showing their increasing importance to a team’s backroom staff. On this course, you’ll learn how to approach scouting at the elite level of the game, with a specific focus on 1st team scouting in football and your approach to player recruitment when working as a first team scout.
The programme will allow you to share knowledge and experiences with other scouts and analysts. It will also show you how world-leading football clubs operate when working within the first team environment.
How’s it structured
The course is made up of two-days usually a Saturday & Sunday (other dates can be provided please check each course individually). You will be shown new techniques and procedures throughout the course and you will also take part in tasks and assessments assisted by industry experts from the premier league and international football.
Over two-days you’ll explore the role of a 1st team scout and reflect on your current working practices in terms of scouting and analysis, and be fully supported in your continuous improvement by IPSO tutors.
The course is endorsed and approval by YMCA awards, IFBI Brussels (The International Football Institute), Polish and Estonian Football Associations and many football clubs across Europe including Slavia Praha, Legia Warsaw and Ludogorets who regularly appear in the Champions League. The course has been developed in line with the EPPP.

Learning Outcomes and Qualification
After you’ve successfully completed this course you will have a clear understanding of what makes an effective scout working in the professional game and how to make important decisions relating to the recruitment of players within a professional football club.
By completing the IPSO Level 1 Scouting & Analysis Course you will receive an IPSO certificate with worldwide endorsement. It’s a great way to pursue full time employment within a professional club. With your new found skills, talent and qualification you will be ideally placed if any opportunities arose in any professional clubs looking to build up their scouting departments when looking for scouts.
