We are delivering 3 courses in 10 days, that’s 44 hours, 15 certificates worth of football education around scouting & analysis all for a one off SPECIAL PRICE of £100 (2405.00 Ran) it will not be this price again as this is a one of introduction to South Africa. HOW IT WILL WORK:
Once you have booked we will send you codes to do the Level 1 Foundations Course before we arrive,
Then on Friday 20th October in the evening at 6-30 pm we will deliver in class the Level 2 Workshop 1 in Bias in Scouting & then Workshop 2 Scouting Youth Players which will take around 3 hours and finish at 9-30 to 10 pm.
On Saturday the 21st starting at 9 am we will deliver Workshops 3 First team Scouting & Workshop 4 Match Reporting. Followed by Workshop 5 the Goal-Keeper and Workshop 6 the Centre-Back which will finish at 4-30 to 5 pm.
We will continue on Sunday 22nd in the morning at 9 am starting with Workshop 7 the Full-Back then Workshop 8 the Defensive Midfielder. In the afternoon we will deliver Workshop 9 the Holding Midfielder and then the Workshop 10 the Winger finishing again at 4-30 to 5 pm.
On Monday evening 23rd at 6-30 pm we will deliver Workshop 11 the Attacking Midfielder & then Workshop 12 the Striker.
On Tuesday evening 24th we will deliver the Observation Course from 6-30 pm to 10-30 pm.
To finish off we will deliver the Level 3 Talent Identification Youth Scouting Course for grassroots to the professionals at under 23’s.
That will be 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday 28th September.
It will be the same on Sunday 29th October we will start at 9 am to 5 pm and finish all 3 courses with 15 certificates.
THE IPSO INTRODUCTION INTO FOOTBALL SCOUTING COURSE IS BASED 100% ONLINE
This course is designed for BEGINNERS who really are at the start of their journey into scouting & analysis. Even though it’s for beginners it is still an exciting and engaging course.
If you have a little experience we would still advise you to take this course as it sets you up with the protocols of scouting at the beginning stages when working at academy levels or as a agent understanding the procedures at professional clubs when watching young players.
The course is very unique and is delivered like a quiz come computer game effect, which is fun, self paced with an easy learning process for everyone. It’s for students who are looking to get into scouting & analysis at the start of their journey whether they want to be a scout, analyst or a better coach. It’s also perfect for agents to have an understanding of the protocols and procedures when looking at grassroots to academy players from a professional aspect.
These workshops are about areas in scouting & analysis that you have to cover in recruitment.
Workshop 1 in BIAS:
A ‘‘super important’’ workshop explaining that most people watching football are BIAS without even knowing it (including people in the game). We explain the consequences of not understanding bias in scouting and analysis.
The next 11 workshops are all great introductions to our courses. Explained more clearly below.
We will look to demonstrate how you could display prejudice against a player or team without really knowing it. Whether it be for good reasons or bad reasons. This is a MUST for anyone starting off in scouting and it will even enlighten the experienced scouts. We will delve into the psychology aspects of analysis when looking at players. We at IPSO believe everyone involved in football should go on this workshop whether it be scouts, coaches, analysts, agent or even the manager. Why? Simple it will stop you making mistakes that you didn’t even know you did while analysing and watching players at any level. We will point out the unnoticed Bias you may hold on or against a player that could cost you dearly in the future. We will look at this from a football perspective proving the wrongs you do without you noticing it when looking at a player.
We will look at how to evaluate a young player in talent identification. This workshop is an insight to our live TID course of how to assess a young player from grassroots to the professional game. This is a good understanding to see the difference when looking at young players compared to senior players at any level. We will show you the procedure when looking for potential at various ages with an age specific scouting procedure. After this we will show you the importance of understanding team shapes and positions before analysing a player.
This is all about first team level scouting that shows you how our Level 4 course works and the ‘‘Attention to Detail’’ needed when assessing players around the first team environment. We will show you the detailed analysis clubs and associations go into when analysing senior players. This detailed workshop shows you what makes a difference from one player to another whether it’s good or bad and it will show you the thought process when assessing these players. Deep analysis for the scouts, agents, coaches, managers or the avid fan who wants to take it to the next level.
We are going to analyse the match report. This is a look into the live Level 5 course. We are going to show you how it’s made, the detail that needs to go into it, the procedure and structure of a match report but most importantly how important the report is for the manager and how to beat the opposition. This detailed workshop lifts the lid on how difficult this match report is to make and the amount of knowledge and experience needed to make a high standard report.
We will look at in depth analysis of a goalkeeper from three stages at the ages of approximately 13,18 and 28 looking for different abilities and skill sets for their age and standard as they progress in their development. The keeper is the most unique and specialists position on the pitch so the analysis and scouting procedures are very different from looking at an outfield player. So for this workshop we have called in a specialist in ‘’Tony Caig’’ a professional goalkeeping coach/scout who has played all over the world. Tony will give his expertise alongside our regular scouting professional. For this we will delve into the deep analysis of this special position, talking about different templates and reporting as you look into the characteristics and design of the keeper. You must also be more knowledgeable of the different skill sets and the mechanics of the role. A must for serious scouts looking to improve their knowledge when looking at ”The Goalkeeper”.
Deep analysis will be used when looking into the modern centre-back. We will look at in depth analysis of the defender from different phases looking for various abilities and skill sets for their age and standard as they progress in their development. ”The Centre-Back” role is evolving, we will look closer in different areas that separate various qualities at different levels to have a clearer understanding of the defender. Where to improve the defender and what assets stand out that make a difference in the modern central defender. A real eye opener for curious scouts looking to improve their knowledge when looking to increase their observation of the defender.
We will look at in depth analysis of the full-back from different eras and ages of their career looking for various abilities and skill sets for their age and standard as they progress in their development. As the game evolves so does the role of ”The Full-Back” as we look deeper in different dimensions that separate various qualities at different levels to have a deeper understanding of the positional play and thought process. A must for serious scouts looking to improve their knowledge when looking to develop their observation of the defender.
We will look at in depth analysis of the defensive midfielder from different eras and ages of their career looking for various abilities and skill sets as the position evolves. As the game progresses so does the role of every player and the ”The Defensive Midfielder” is no different. We will look deeper into different dimensions that separate various qualities at different levels to have a deeper understanding of the positional play and thought process a defensive midfielder needs in the modern game. There are different types and they are not as stereo typed as you think. A must for serious scouts looking to improve their knowledge when looking to develop their observation of the defender.
We will look at in depth analysis of the ‘‘Holding Midfielder’’ from the different abilities and skill sets needed to play this role. It will also show you how the game as changed and the variations that could be used. As the game evolves so does the role of a midfielder. The IPSO tutor will give his expert opinion and we will delve into the deep analysis of this special position. As a scout or analyst you must learn to be more knowledgeable of the different skill sets and the mechanics of the role. A must for serious scouts or analysts looking to improve their knowledge when looking at ”The Holding Midfielder.”
Deep analysis will be used when looking into the ”Modern Winger.” We will look at in depth analysis of the winger from different phases looking for various abilities and skill sets for their age, standard and style as they progress in their development. Is ”The Winger” role is disappearing or evolving, we will look closer in different areas that separate various qualities at different levels to have a clearer understanding of the winger in ability and skill set that is needed in different shapes and tactics. Where to improve the winger and what assets stand out that make a difference in the modern wide-player. A real eye opener for curious scouts looking to improve their knowledge when looking to increase their observation of the winger/wide-man.
The ”Attacking Midfielder” is another evolving role that is changing as the beautiful game moves forward. The attacking midfielder is always looked upon as ‘’the number 10’’ Famously worn by Pele & Maradona and most star players in the team. In this workshop we will look at how the attacking midfielder is used in different shapes and in different tactics. With the emergence of the 4-3-3 system taking preference over the 4-4-2 system for many teams the attacking midfielder is changing. We will look at the creative midfielder in their attacking play but also their all-round game and how it’s changed with the ever evolving systems of play in the modern game. This is a great workshop delving into the tactics and philosophy of how coaches/managers use and employ the attacking midfielder in the modern game.
The ”Striker Role” is one of the most important positions in the team. Without goals how do you win matches? In this workshop we will delve into the many different striker roles that are implemented in the modern game. With the speed of the game exploding and the rules changing every year then the strikers have to asses themselves and change their ways to make an impact on the well drilled and organised defences that are now employed in the modern systems. You will be surprised at how many different strikers are used in the modern game from the big target man to the false nine. We will analyse each and every type of striker so you are fully aware of what’s needed in different strikers when they’re in different shapes or playing in different systems that are now used in the modern game.
We have designed a 3 hour course in pure observation skills that are needed in scouting & analysis.
On this course you will find yourself digging deeper into OBSERVATION.
A skill that is very much needed in scouting & analysis at every level.

We will show you situations that are early indicators that the layer is good or bad from new body language observations to the psychological aspects of the player and reading players in many different ways, plus many other actions of people in football so you understand what they mean by their steps or activity in football situations.
The LEVEL 3 course is a look into young football players in their development from their youth at grassroots level to pro-academies all the way up to under 23 football. It is developed by Premier League Scouts and Heads of Recruitment touching on all aspects when looking at young players in a more accurate and detailed calculation of the player. Perfect for analysts or agents as not everything can be seen with just statistics as you will need these observation skills when looking at videos or live games to see clearly what the player is all about.
1 It will delve into key areas vitally important to football scouting & analysis at youth level. It explores sophisticated scouting strategies and procedures that will improve any coach, scout, analyst, manager, technical director and is a massive help for football agents for their evaluation of the young player.
2 From a coaches point of view they will gain clearer observation skills to help their players and their own progress in their development. It shows you how to make justified, evidence based decisions when improving or recruiting players to your club. It will also show the most effective ways to manage any young player’s development.
