A person working in performance analysis is normally classed as a technical scout. In this course, you will be taught to understand PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS.
Most mainstream clubs are relying heavily on online data when looking into players. It’s important when learning to be a performance analyst or a scout to fully understand the process. You need to understand the knowledge of metrics, statistics and databases used to form objective hypotheses about players with tools like Hudl, Wyscout or InStat.
After analysing a player visually you need to know how it is supported by the appropriate metrics. Looking into areas like the NPG 90 metric and XG are useful information in your analysis. By participating on this course it will give you a bigger perspective.
You will now be able to support your judgments on players with measurable facts.
Understanding that the traditional scout still plays a big role when assessing characteristics such as attitude, personality and desire.

The Level 1 Performance Analysis Course, module 1 is a very detailed and interactive course. Specializing and focusing on Team and Player Analysis using the latest Software and Technology used within the game. You will be shown how Performance Analysts at the highest level work behind the scenes at a Professional Club. You will be shown how top analysts use and maximize the tools of Hudl, Wyscout, Instat to the club’s advantage. Each day Sunday and Monday will be around 3 to four hours depending on the questions.
You will learn with fellow students as you make new contacts and friends from around the world. It’s designed to develop and help analysts, scouts, managers, sports directors, agents or avid enthusiasts to understand the in-depth work of a Professional Analyst and what the job entails at a professional club.
Even though it’s a foundations & fundamentals course it is very detailed with a lot of tips to help you when starting off in performance analysis.
Stelios Vradelis is our main presenter: Stelios is a SPECIALIST and a performance analysis tutor, teaching UEFA B, A, Pro & Elite coaches around the world. Stelios is a director of the Institute of Sports Analysis in Athens and leads the program. As the professional game continues to evolve, so too does the role of the analysts, scouts, and managers. sports directors and agents, showing their increasing importance to a team’s backroom staff or contact base.
In this course, you’ll learn how to approach performance analysis at the elite level of the game, with a specific focus on Teams and Players from the statistical side of the game.
The tutor will go through many procedures that you must adhere to when looking to make it in performance analysis. The team and player’s most important stats will be shown through various software like Hudl, Wyscout or InStat talking about the many other different tools that are available. You will be shown how to use these tools behind the scenes in the day-to-day workflow as a high-level performance analyst at a professional football club. You will be shown standards that need to be followed and the specialist approach to learning the skills that make a difference.
As you network and share your knowledge and experiences with other students you also get to see how world-leading football clubs operate when working within the first-team environment.
