This course is a mixture of interactive procedures, practical experiences, case studies and role-play with real-life ecological examples to enable students to practice their new skills gained form this course.

We will look at understanding age-specific analysis and selecting players due to their ability. We will look at position specific to gain maximum observation. We will look at the roles and responsibilities of a youth scout. We will look at many other factors including attitude & character and personality at different ages.
We will look at report writing so what we see isn’t misinterpreted in your writing and your report doesn’t come across as wrong, we will show you how to implement shorthand into your reporting. We will also look into the physiological aspects and how it affects young players.

The LEVEL 3 Course is a very detailed and interactive course when learning to be a Youth scout or analyst working in and around the recruitment environment at academy level but it will also helo when you step up to the first team. It’s designed to develop and help scouts, coaches, analysts, managers, sports directors or agents understand the in-depth work of a professional scout/analyst at academy level, showing what the job entails when learning to become or stepping into academy recruitment.
As the professional game continues to evolve, so too does the role of the scouts, analysts, coaches, and all concerned at a football club.
The course looks into young football players’ development from their youth at the grassroots level to pro-academies up to under 23 football. It is developed by Premier League Scouts and Heads of Recruitment touching on all aspects when looking at young players in a more accurate and detailed calculation of the player. Perfect for coaches, analysts and agents as not everything can be seen with statistics. You will need this knowledge and observation skills when looking at videos or live games to see the player’s ability and potential. when they are young and under developed.
The course will delve into key areas vitally important to football scouting & analysis at Youth Level. It explores sophisticated scouting strategies and procedures that will improve any coach, scout, analyst, manager or technical director. It’s also a massive help for football agents in their evaluation of a young player they may be interested in.

Colin is our lead lecturer and education director. Coming from a humble back ground Colin has worked his way up through the ranks to the top of his profession as a scout with over 21 years’ experience working at the highest levels of the Premier league and international football. As a scout and opposition analyst with most of those years taken up in the Premier league, Colin has also got a good knowledge of international football when scouting under the phenomenal Ted Davies at the Northern Ireland National team. Colin is now modestly known as a world-wide lecturer across the globe teaching at many football associations like the Polish FA, Romania FA and AIFF (All India Football Federation). Colin has also taught the staff of prestigious clubs like Slavia Prague, Malmo FF, Fehérvár FC and PFC Ludogorets Razgrad who all regularly participate in the champion’s league.
