Ipso are pleased to announce we have visited and delivered our Level 1 scouting and analysis course in Stockholm Sweden at the home of Djurgårdens IF in their fantastic state of the art stadium the Tele 2 Arena. With a new audience and eager attendants wanting to know what the Ipso courses were all about, the day started with Jerry Jarnald the head of our Scandinavian department introducing the main directors of IPSO Kamil Potrykus and Colin Chambers.

Mr Portykus started events explaining how honoured and privileged we were to be using such a fantastic venue thanks to Djurgårdens IF who also had representatives from their backroom staff on the course. After a very quiet start the Swedish participants then got into their stride after the star guest Hans Backe (the former International Manager of Finland) started sharing his experiences and knowledge within the game from the very start. It was interesting to see Colin Chambers the lead lecturer of IPSO sharing and agreeing in his experiences with that of Hans Backe’s comments on scouting in all aspects of the position.

Students take in the proceedings of the first ever course in Sweden.

The day quickly went and at around 3 o’clock we departed to take in the 1st Division game of Djurgårdens IF v AFC Eskilstuna.

It was a good show piece for Swedish football with Djurgårdens IF winning with a 4-1 score line against AFC Eskilstuna.

After the first day of the course we had our traditional (usual) night out as we all continued the networking and sharing our opinions on the game over a nice meal and drinks as the students started to relax and share their experiences and knowledge with one another.

The students get to explore the Tele2 Arena pitch as they explore and talk about what they’ve just seen.

Day two was on its way and the attendants quickly got into the stride of analysing the player and then onto match reporting. Another great course with excellent feed-back.
