Exactly twenty years passed since the greatest success in the history of Blackburn Rovers. The club from the north of England unexpectedly won the Premier League. On the occasion of the anniversary masterful team met again and almost everyone was there. IPSO was there too!
The invitation for “Celebration of Champions”, led by John Motson, known in the UK as one of the best journalist and TV commentators. Two former Scottish players who visited us in March and May when they took part in Sopot, in the first two editions of the scouting course organized by IPSO were Colin Hendry and Kevin Gallacher.
“Attendance did not disappoint us. Unfortunately a few players from the squad couldn’t make it due to other duties Shay Given and Henning Berg for example. I do not know whether we will be able to meet the same team once more,” said Hendry.
Blackburn was at that time full of stars. The biggest was of course Alan Shearer, at the time probably the best striker in the world, now a television pundit. “He was probably the most famous. Shearer, however, found some time to talk to us and get to know our project. The other star person surrounded by fans was Kenny Dalglish, the manager of Blackburn at the time, the legend of Scottish football. We have gained a lot of new contacts there, which should help in further development of our organization,” said Kamil Potrykus, managing director of IPSO.
