IFBI, the International Football Business Institute, based in Brussels, is the latest football partner to link with IPSO. We were invited to Belgium by IFBI to deliver a seminar on scouting and analyses to their students who have travelled from all four corners of the world to study at the fantastic facilities of the International Executive Master in Football Business.

There were students from India, Germany, Peru, Albania, USA and many other parts of the world. The seminar was delivered by Kamil Potrykus and Colin Chambers which was very much appreciated by all the students and one of the IFBI founders Simon Van Kerckhoven. The seminar consisted of how a scout goes about his work and what infrastructure a club needs to have a good scouting system as well as how a scouting system works behind the scenes and how it can be profitable for football clubs if managed correctly.

Simon had this to say ‘‘IPSO has managed to blow our minds in a fantastic 6 hour seminar. The lectureship, covering all aspects of professional football scouting, has been of great value for our participants. IPSO and IFBI carry about the same values and have similar ideas about educating the football industry to strive for a more professional, ethical and transparent management of tomorrow’s football. It’s for this reason that IFBI and IPSO have agreed to start working together in order to be able to achieve both their goals. We are really looking forward to the start of this wonderful collaboration.’’ So after another exciting partnership gets underway the future looks very exciting for both companies as we shared ideas of how to maximise our attributes to improve individuals looking to get into football on the business side of things. Kamil Potrykus managing director had this to say ‘‘we were really impressed with the set up and the professionalism of the IFBI, their hospitality and settings are second to none. The students studying here are spoilt with what we can only describe as an exceptional centre of operations and workplace.’’
