Dmitrijs Hohlovs, who attended the last course organized by IPSO in Trnava Slovakia, went on a week’s training to the famous Italian club AC Milan almost straight from Slovakia.

Hohlovs is a man associated with football for years. He worked for FK Ventspils, a leading club in Latvia, where he worked as a general manager and director. He later became a football agent, and since he has been hired as a scout by FC Astana, Kazakhstan’s current champions and participants in this year’s Champions League.

“I came to Trnava to learn some theory. It was interesting that we could learn something from the English scouts, because it is obviously the number one country in terms of football and Scouting,” he said during the course in Slovakia.

A few days later, he was in Italy. “I had a weekly internship at AC Milan, where I watched all training sessions of the first team, and after each of them I spoke to the first team coach, a specialist in physical preparation and strategy in coaches. I had a chance to talk with some of the players,” Hohlovs said. “Also I visited Milanello, the training centre for the team and I saw two league matches. The darby with Inter and another against Palermo,” he added.

His stay in Italy was not limited only to Milan. He also visited Genoa. “There I met and talked with one of the best specialists of strategy and not just in Italy, Gean Piero Gasperinim, coach of Genoa CFC,” Hohlovs said.
